Every surface gets its own treatment.
Block paving and cobblelock
A high-flow rotary cleaner blasts weeds, moss and grime out of the joints. Once it is dry, fresh kiln-dried sand is brushed back in so the blocks don't shift under car tyres.
Tarmac
High pressure strips the bitumen binder out of tarmac. We use a controlled rotary cleaner with a biocide treatment, and recommend a biocide refresh about every six months to stop the moss rooting again.
Natural stone and sandstone
Granite, limestone and Indian sandstone need careful pressure. Lichen, black spot and stains come off without etching or flaking the stone.
Imprinted concrete
High-flow washing lifts traffic film, oil drips and dirt without stripping the sealant.
Patios and paths
Slippery green algae, black spot and winter grime come off flagstones, paths and decking so the garden is safe to walk on again.

Driveways and patios questions
Why does a tarmac driveway need a biocide every 6 months?
Tarmac is porous and held together by oil-based binders. High pressure erodes those binders and loosens the stone, and moss spores root deep in the gaps. A biocide about every six months kills new spores before they grow, without any harsh washing.
Do you re-sand block paving?
Yes. Once the paving has dried, fresh kiln-dried sand is brushed into the joints to lock the blocks in place.
Will power washing damage my patio?
Not when the pressure suits the surface. Stone and imprinted concrete are cleaned at a controlled pressure so the face and the sealant stay intact.
